Hi Players and Parents,
Time for another season of the greatest game on earth. I am very excited and am looking forward to a competitive and challenging season.
Due to changes and challenges in other associations, the MD schedule will be different this year and I think it is for the better. Oakridge's seeded team picked in the spring has been reclassified as MD and will play in our loop, the same has happened for West. The Bandits are not fielding a seeded team so those players will be distributed to their two MD teams. This means that the quality of hockey teams we face this season will be excellent, there will be no easy games.
As coach I think this is a very good situation. It will give myself an opportunity to teach skills and strategies in practice that will be tested by worthy opponents in games.
Our travel schedule will have us mostly in London for the whole season with only 2 or 3 games out of town to Sarina.
I will be posting more articles over the coming days covering off different topics. Good luck to everyone trying out for the North seeded team.
