We are pleased to announce that in
tandem with Oakridge Minor Hockey, we will be adding an additional entry to the
2003 age group at MD. This team will be known as "Northridge
2003".
North and Oakridge players will
try-out for each association's 2003 MD team first. After unsuccessful
players have been released, the additional entry team will have a try-out
amongst the remaining Oakridge and North players. The order in which your
player was released from the other team try-outs does not matter in the
selection of this team. This will be an open try-out. Try-out dates
will be posted on the team website soon.
The coaching staff for this team will include both an Oakridge and a North London coach. The coaches will be announced soon.
With the additional entry team, the Alliance will be creating a split schedule. After half a season, the league will be split into a 4 team "A' pool and a 4 team "B" pool. This will create competitiveness based on the seasonal development of the teams in the league.
We are excited about this opportunity for our players and for our organization to work together with Oakridge Minor Hockey. I am proud of the collaborative efforts between the boards of Oakridge Minor Hockey and North London to offer additional opportunities of competitive hockey to our players. I would like to thank Michelle Foote, President of Oakridge Minor Hockey and Rob Duncan, Chair of the Greater London Hockey Association for their efforts in bringing about this opportunity. It is a pleasure to work with both of you.
Kevin Routley, President
North London Hockey
