North Tier 1 Supports London Food Bank
As the holidays approach so many in this city and area go without the basic necessities. Luckily for those that need it most, one of our sponsors, Millennium Construction & Design Inc. are trying to make a difference within their community.
This past weekend the North Tier 1 Nationals helped lend a hand to raise money and food donations for the London Food Bank. Through exceptional enthusiasm, creative canvassing and even the occasional song, these wonderful 8 year olds helped contribute to some incredible results over the course of 2 days at a local grocery store.
All told at this one location alone 9,700 lbs of food & $2,854.00 was raised!
Converting to pounds and that is 11,127 lbs of food!!!
Many thanks to each player and parent for donating their time and enthusiasm even in the midst of busy weekend of hockey where we played 5 games and lost in the Dan Pullham tournament finals.
