Three of our North London Nationals teams came home champions from their tournaments over the weekend.
The Nationals U12 HL Team 25 were victorious this past weekend at the Bradford Blue and Gold Classic. In the finals they were up against the undefeated powerhouse from Oakville so they knew they were in for a tough battle. It was an exciting back and forth game with great goaltending. Tied 1-1 in the third period with time winding down the Nationals scored the go ahead goal and then played great defence to hang on to a narrow victory.
The boys displayed excellent work ethic, team play and sportsmanship the entire tournament and represented the organization with class both on and off the ice. Way to go Nats!
U15 Team C8 attended the Welland Ernie Clayton Tournament this past weekend and went 5-0 through perseverance and sheer grit against some very talented teams.
Despite some illness on the team, the players rallied and lifted each other up and came out with the championship trophy. A great effort by the whole team for the win!
Congratulations are also in order for U15 Team A8. The team built on their momentum from a second place finish two weeks ago and took home the championship trophy at the London Bandits tournament over the weekend.
Congratulations to our teams and thank you to the tournament hosts for a great weekend of hockey.
