Hi,
Welcome to the 2017-18 MD Minor Peewee Season!
My name is Paul Murphy and I am happy to be the Head Coach of this team for the upcoming season. I have been with this 2006 born team for the past two years as an Assistant Coach and I am looking forward to building off of the success of those experiences.
While this is not a ‘AA’ or ‘AAA’ team, it remains a competitive team which requires both a time commitment (for the family) and an effort commitment for your child. You can expect to be on the ice at least three times a week, but usually four. This season we will most likely have practices Monday and Wednesday nights and we are registered for the following tournaments:
Nov 17th – 19th – North London Classic
Nov 24th – 26th – Canadian Tire Classic (Barrie)
Dec 27th – 30th – Wayne Gretzky International Tournament (Brantford)
Jan 29th – 31st – Byron Optimist Tournament (West London)
Apr 13th – 15th – Alliance Championships (London) *Must Qualify for this*
The “D” in MD is for Development and if your child plays MD this season, he/she can expect to develop their game in individual skills and team concepts. Above all, we will have fun! We are playing hockey – what’s more fun than that?
