I
would like to thank everyone who took part in MD tryouts this season. It
proved to be an extremely tough decision for myself and the evaluation
team.
These
final decisions were based upon all the tryouts, not just last night’s game.
I was blessed to have 9 independent evaluators over the course of the
tryouts assess the skills and game play of each player and provide valuable
feedback and insights for player selection.
The talent pool for the 2006 age-group, especially out of North London is immense and I am limited in my available roster spots. I would strongly encourage those players who were released today to try out for the new GLHA Select Team this year - you have proven that you can handle hockey at a level above House League. I wish you all the best this upcoming season and look forward to your return to tryouts next year hungry to take a spot on the team.
For those players that made the team this year - Congratulations! Our journey through this 2017-2018 season has begun. We have a practice tomorrow (Saturday at 1pm at Carling Arena), come prepared to work hard and listen attentively. Please check the North London MD Minor Peewee Schedule for future dates.
