Minor Atom A Nationals win the Preston International
The Minor Atom Nationals battled hard through 6 games on the weekend to win the prestigious, Preston International hockey tournament.

The Nationals defeated some tough teams from Stratford, Waterloo, Barrie, Fort Erie, and West Mall to win their second tournament of the year.

The Nationals faced West Mall in the final after losing 1-0 to them in pool play.  The boys played hard in the 1-0 loss and out played the West Mall team but couldn't put a goal past the West Mall goaltender.  The players were pumped to hear they had a second chance to play West Mall in the finals.  After a team meeting and a change in strategy the Nationals were able to put together a dominating final game and were rewarded with a 5-1 championship win and collected the most impressive hardware we have seen at a minor hockey tournament.

Thank you to the Preston International organizers and volunteers for their efforts in running this memorable tournament.

Fantastic effort boys!!
