Season Intro
Welcome to the 2020/2021 hockey season.  I hope you are as excited as I am to get back on the ice.  While this season will look and feel a lot different than seasons past our priority has not changed... Let's have some fun!

As of now, I am expecting us to start Phase 1 of the return the week of October 12th.  The schedule is to be posted shortly.  This phase is to last 10 weeks with two scheduled ice times per week.  As a team we can opt to purchase an additional ice time when available.

The season will start with everyone returning from last year's roster.  If there are any players who have opted not to play (MD or hockey altogether), or anyone who has been called up to participate in Phase 1 with the Mustangs, I may call up players from House League to complete our roster, depending on their registration.  The roster could consist of up to 20 players.

I plan to hold a parent and player virtual team meeting, sometime over the next week, prior to our first ice time.   Once I have all needed information, I will send you an email with the meeting time and link.  There are several things we will need to discuss and make sure everyone understands and follows the rules and procedures accordingly.

As a brief overview
1) Everyone MUST complete the health survey, with the Javelin app, prior to arriving at the arena.
2) Before every ice time we will gather outside of the arena, with masks and social distancing, to make sure every player has completed and passed the App's process.
3) We are permitted to enter the arena, as a team, only 15 mins prior to the ice time, so please come prepared. Note: If a player is not with the team upon entrance, the arena staff may not allow the player to enter.
4) We have only 15 minutes after our ice time to depart the arena.
5) Masks must be worn inside the arena at all times unless your helmet is on. A traffic flow map has been posted on the main page under the Covid-19 tab, please review so you know what to expect.

Phase 1, on ice, will be focused on skill development.  While we may have smaller scrimmages, most time we will concentrate on puck skills and conditioning. As players and parents, you can expect new drills, a lot of puck time, and some skating.  Every drill will focus on development while maintaining social distancing and player safety.  As coaches all we ask is that you come on time, be prepared, ready to work hard and have FUN.

These are unique times, and everything is fluid.  I will update everyone if anything changes.  Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns, ([email protected]).   I look forward to reconnecting the players to the game and each other.
