North York Tournament Champions
The North London bantams win the North York Knights Challenge Tournament by having to defeat 2 of the top ranked A teams in the Province.
The Bantams were faced with 2 very tough teams in the semis and the finals. North London jumped out to an early lead in the semis against the Meadowvale Hawks and kept the foot on the gas right to the last buzzer for a 3 to 2 win. After losing 5-0 in pool play to a big and fast North Toronto team, the Nationals had to make some adjustments and stay positive to compete with this highly skilled team in the final. Excellent goaltending and a never give up focus proved to be the difference in a game that was as tight as they come. Congratulations go out to the players on this fantastic weekend of hockey.
