Light the Night - Team Kaitlin
Minor Atom Team 23 (The Blue Devils) walked to Light the Night in support of Team Kaitlin.
In an off-ice team building event, The Blue Devils joined Coach Gerry Vanderhoek and his family as they walked in memory & support of Team Kaitlin at Light the Night for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Coach Gerry's daughter, Kaitlin, lost her battle with Leukemia six years ago after which he and his wife Christine brought the Light the Night walk to London to offer hope to those still fighting and to raise money and awareness for blood cancer research.
Coach Gerry says, Thanks for all the support. Even from some of my past players! I was humbled by all of the support. It means the world to Coach Gerry in keeping his little girls dream alive.
