Dillon and I are excited for the up coming
season. We have already had a meeting to go over our season plan. We believe
that 16 and 17 year old players still want to learn the game of Hockey so our
season plan reflects this.
Dillon and I discussed the key things we will provide to the team, a few of them are;
We will be prepared and show up on time
We will make practices engaging, organized and fun
We will give every player on our team the opportunity to be a better player at the end of the season than when they started.
Please find below links to Jeremy Weiss’s YouTube page. Jeremy has excellent videos on key concepts of the game. The 4 links are refreshers on play in our end of the rink. They start very simple and end with an analysis of Team Canada’s play in their own end.
It would probably be helpful to have a refresher before our tryouts
1. Box +1
2. Sagging Zone
3. Sagging Zone "Arrow"
4.Sagging Zone IN ACTION
Dillon and I are looking forward to the tryouts, we expect them to be competitive .
A budget will be presented at the parents meeting after the team is selected. Since this is Midget, there will be nothing in my budget that you will not have seen before. J
Stay tuned to website this week for more info, as we will be posting names of players that the association has record of paying for MD tryout.
See you at the rink
